Chesapeake Midstream Partners Announces David C. Shiels Joins Company as Chief Financial Officer

OKLAHOMA CITY, Jan 07, 2010 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Chesapeake Midstream Partners, L.L.C. (CMP), the recently formed entity which purchased and operates Chesapeake Energy’s (NYSE:CHK) Barnett, Permian and Mid-Continent natural gas gathering and treating assets, today announced the hiring of David C. Shiels to serve as the company’s Chief Financial Officer. Dave joins CMP following a 22 year career at General Electric and ConocoPhillips. At CMP, Dave will be responsible for leading the financial reporting, analysis and budgeting, in addition to treasury, capital oversight and investor relations functions.

Dave has held multiple regional CFO roles within GE subsidiaries, which included controllership and financial planning and analysis responsibilities. Dave most recently served as CFO of GE Security Americas. While at ConocoPhillips from 1987 to 1996, Dave held various financial and operational leadership positions. Dave graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Finance and Banking from Michigan State University and has completed numerous career development programs, including GE’s financial leadership program.
